Welcome to the City Clerk's Office

Tolleson Council Chambers

The City Clerk's Department serves as the vital connection between the City Council, City staff, and the public. As the Chief Elections Official, Legislative Administrator, and Records Manager, the City Clerk ensures transparency, compliance, and access to essential City information.

The City Clerk's Office is the trusted steward of the City's legal documents, safeguarding the official records of City Council legislation and actions. Acting as the historian of the community, the City Clerk preserves the recorded history of Tolleson and its people.

Municipal clerks are among the oldest public servants in local government, responsible for navigating evolving laws to ensure compliance across the organization. As the custodians of information, the City Clerk's Office is dedicated to providing clear, accurate, and respectful assistance to all patrons with integrity and professionalism.

Regular City Council Meetings are held on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at 6:00 PM at the Tolleson Civic Center located at 9055 West Van Buren Street, Tolleson, AZ 85353. Remote participation is also available via Zoom Webinar.

All public notices of meetings, including those of the City Council, Council subcommittees, and all City boards, commissions, and committees, are posted at the Tolleson Civic Center and online at www.tolleson.az.gov/archive. Notices are accessible 24/7 from the exterior of the building along Van Buren Street. Additional public notice will be provided whenever reasonable and practicable.
