Unclaimed Property Notice & Listing:
The Property and Evidence Division of the Tolleson Police Department is responsible for the handling, processing, and documentation of all Police related property and evidence. This includes property impounded as evidence, found property, property to be destroyed and the property being held as safekeeping.
Release of property to the owner of the record is by appointment only during regular business hours. To set up an appointment to pick up property or to see if the property that has been impounded or is being held can now be released at the completion of the case per the trial court, contact the Property and Evidence Custodian by telephone at 623-936-2743.
Pursuant to ARS 12-941 through 12-945, notice is hereby given to claim the property within 30 days of the posted notice. Failure to make a claim within 30 days of the posted notice shall be deemed abandonment and said property may be sold, donated, or used by the City of Tolleson. Suitable proof of ownership and photo ID is required to pick up property. To claim a firearm, a background check will be conducted to verify prohibited possessor status as required by Arizona Revised Statutes. What do you do if you think the property listed belongs to you?
- You must submit a satisfactory claim and/or proof of ownership within 30 days of the date of this notice, all unclaimed property after 30 days will be sold at auction or disposed of.
- Property must be claimed Monday through Thursday between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Please call 623-936-2743 to set up an appointment.
- Any person who believes any of the property listed may rightfully belong to them must make a claim and provide proof of ownership.
- Claimants must show valid photo identification.

What happens to unclaimed property after 30 days?
Any property not claimed within 30 days of this notice may be sold at public auction to the highest bidder, kept for city use, or donated to charity.
