Virtual GroundBreaking Ceremony Tolleson Civic Center June 17, 2021

The City of Tolleson Mayor and Council are honored to invite Tolleson residents to attend the virtual groundbreaking ceremony for the new Tolleson Civic Center. This event will stream live on Facebook on Thursday, June 17 at 6:00 PM.

This Civic Center, once completed, will be the new home of the Tolleson City Hall, Library and Senior Center.  The Tolleson Library will bring much-needed space to the patrons and have a dedicated outdoor children’s area for families to enjoy.  The senior center will contain classroom spaces and a workout room for senior patrons. It will also feature an eating area with access to the outdoors for hosting events.

The council chambers will serve as a multipurpose room to allow flexibility to use for a variety of community events. It will also open up to a courtyard to host outdoor functions.

“We are thrilled to start breaking ground as such an amazing facility. Our residents deserve a state-of-the-art civic center to call home.  We plan to celebrate every step of construction in preparation for in-person events in the near future.” Stated Mayor Juan F. Rodriguez.

Mayor Rodriguez will announce a ceremonial gift for residents during the virtual event that will be available for pick at the Tolleson Library 9555 W. Van Buren Street using their curbside service, so we hope that all of you can join us on Facebook!
