[ARCHIVED] Homeless Youth Connection

Homeless youth is a fast-growing problem, but it is not a hopeless problem. Homeless Youth Connection grew out of a concern for these kids and their futures. HYC has been successful in creating awareness in the community and has been a catalyst in turning that awareness into positive action thanks to the generosity of local service clubs and corporations, local residents, faith-based organizations and city governments.

Homeless Youth Connection works with liaisons within the school systems to identify kids that need assistance. To qualify for HYC assistance our students:

•Are “unattended” youth
•Free of substance abuse
•Who meet the McKinney-Vento definition of homeless,
•And are attending high school and actively working towards their high school diploma
